We have finished design the disposal video larynoscope and made the prototype for OVT. It makes use of OVT image sensor OV9724 and image processor OV788. OV9724 has 1280×720 resolution, provides high resolution images for viewing.

There are many different designs for single use purpose. For non video type, it is easier but for video one, there are lots of consideration. In order to reduce the cost of disposal part, most of the design use sleeve or clear grove to protect the blade. However, this will affect the image very much, such as image blurred, light reflection and etc. Our design idea is to make the blade single use. Such case, the cost of image sensor and mechanism should be cost effective. OV9724 is the right candidate. Below is picture to show the whole design idea.
